Haki Madini Kenya (HMK) and the Kenya Human Rights Commission (KHRC) submit this petition regarding the ongoing prospecting and drilling activities by Shanta Gold in the Ramula community, East Gem Ward. We aim to address significant concerns related to land rights, environmental impact, and community engagement. 

Among other concerns,we emphasize the importance of Article 10 of the Constitution of Kenya, which mandates public participation as a core national value and principle of good governance. This principle must guide all decisions related to the rights and interests of the Ramula community.
